Spring is here in NY April 2021

It's Spring. Hope all of you are well!!! Where the time go?? April is already here. My parents used to say time passes very fast as you get older. Wow that is so true. It is like a roller coaster! 春になりました！！！まだ肌寒いニューヨークですが・・・年をとると時の進み具合が早いとよく両親入っておりましたが、本当ですねぇ！！ It's Spring and it's the time for Hartt Dances!!! It will be streamed Live!!! I will be there to watch too so please join me!!! click: http://bit.ly/WatchHarttDance ***It is NY/East Coast time Dancers at the Hartt School has been working in person since last semester. They wash their floors, bars, keeping protocol for COVID and working hard. And for this Spring, they will be premiering, YES PREMIERING - CREATING NEW WORKS !!! New works by Richard Alston (UK) and Chanel DaSilva, and Excerpts from Giselle( it is so charming!!!) and wonderful mini event by Merce Cunningham with Live music by Hartt Composers Ensemble. It's pretty amazing in this situation to be able to do so!!! Choreographer is creating on you, you can experience masters' works in ballet and modern dance, and will be performed with live music!!! That is amazing. I am very excited about this. This semester, I am back teaching. I am teaching Freshman for Graham 1 - beginner level but these young dancers are so talented, I am already starting to teach Back Leg Extension and Pretzel. Click: Hartt Dances 2021 Spring 春といえば、ハートスクールの公演です！ 今年はオンラインでの公演です。日本では普通に（観客数は少ないようですが）舞台が行われているようですが、こちらはまだまだ。よってオンライン。でもその素晴らしいのは、世界中のどこからでも見ることができることですね！！！ ダンサーたちは、スタジオの掃除、バーを拭いたり、床に消毒液を巻いたり毎日やっております。イギリスの振付家、リチャード・アルストンの新作、ニューヨーク新鋭振付家、シャネル・ダシルヴァの新作、ジゼルからの抜粋そしてマース・カニングハムのミニイベント。ハートスクールの作曲コースの学生（と言ってもマスターです！）とのコラボ。羨ましい限りです。ニューヨーク（東海岸）時間で、土曜日と日曜日の公演時間ですので、日本の方には朝九時半ということになりますね。ぜひご覧くださいね！！！ Even it is still cold, nature is waking up!!! Beautiful flowers are every where!!! まだ肌寒いといえど、花は沢山咲き始めています。 It's beautiful at our community garden, street and I see so many beautiful pictures of Central Park! Usually people said, "Capital of Flower" is Paris, but NY is very much like that too!!!　 花の都パリと言いますが、ニューヨークも負けてはおりません！！ And we started rooftop garden and Garlic Chives, Oregano, Thyme, Sage, Rosemary, Lavender and Mint all survived over this winter!!! I am so happy to see these new life! (Left picture) and I am SO happy about Japanese Pepper - Sansho(2nd Picture) is surviving at my plot in Community Garden! I don't have much flower plants in my plot but some JP greens are coming!!! and of course salad green and tomatoes!!! And this is our Yuzu plant(3rd Picture) which we started from seed. Yes I kept Yuzu seed from Japanese Restaurant for hot Pot! Hoping this will eventually make some fruits. it has very mean looking thorn... 昨年の夏にルーフトップガーデンをはじめ、冬を越して何が戻ってくるかと思っていたのですが、ハーブ類はみな戻ってきて嬉しいです。畑に植えている山椒も！そして日本食レストランから柚子の種を持って帰ってきて根が出て今このくらいになりました！！！とても痛そうなトゲも沢山。柚子なるでしょうか？？？いつになるか・・・ There are few things that I did in Jan-March, I will try to keep up soon... Happy Spring!!! Oh yes, I am fully vaccinated!!! Even that, I am very careful with mask and washing hands!
